Clarence G. Voss
Clarence G. Voss, 99, of Sullivan, MO, passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Gerald Nursing & Rehab in Gerald, MO.
Clarence was born on January 11, 1918 in Bourbon, MO, to the late Joseph F. and Ann (Bindner) Voss. Clarence has resided on his family’s farm for ninety-five years. He loved the land and was a farmer all of his life. On September 7, 1946, Clarence was united in marriage to Frances Elsperman at Holy Martyrs of Japan Church. Of this union, two children were born, Donald and Donna. Clarence was also employed by the United States Postal Service for sixteen years until his retirement. Clarence was a lifelong member of Holy Martyrs of Japan Church. He will be missed by his family and friends.
Clarence is survived by his son, Donald Voss and wife Tina of Sullivan, MO; five grandchildren, Margie Juergens and husband Dennis of Sullivan; Christina Voss of Sullivan; Cathy Jo Voss (Robert Lohmeyer) of Sullivan; Karen Ruwwe and husband Matt of Springfield, MO; Laura Bryan and husband Kevin of Sullivan; ten great grandchildren, Garrett Juergens, Tyler Juergens, Emma Voss, Kaitlyn Lohmeyer, Marshall Oliver, Holden Oliver, Madison Muhs (Ruwwe), Kaleb Bryan, Andrew Bryan and Jacob Bryan; other relatives and friends.
Clarence was preceded in death by his wife, Frances (Elsperman) Voss; his daughter, Donna Crider, parents, Joseph F. and Ann (Bindner) Voss; two brothers, Elmer and Leo Voss; daughter-in-law, April.
Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m., Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Holy Martyrs of Japan Church with Father Tim Henderson officiating. Interment followed in Holy Martyrs Cemetery.
Visitation was held from 4-8 p.m., Monday, November 20, 2017 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan.
