Christopher Dawson

Christopher Dawson, age 45, of Cuba, MO, passed away Friday, December 28, 2018. 

Christopher Michael was born on December 23, 1973 in St. Louis, MO, to Harry Edward Dawson, Sr. and Mary Ellen (Murray) Dawson.  

Chris grew up and attended school in Texas and Missouri, graduating from Bourbon High School, Class of 1993. He was united in marriage to Julie Hawkins in 1998 and two sons, Zechariah and Timothy, were born.  Chris was employed in a local steel shop and worked for many years in the drywall business with his Uncle, Ed Murray. He really liked the drywall business and working with his hands. Chris was a perfectionist in all aspects of his life. He loved his boys and enjoyed spending time with them. He really just loved his family. Chris also liked to fish, ride bikes, play his drums, and read his Bible.  

He is survived by two sons, Zech Dawson and wife, Destiny, of Sullivan, and Timothy Dawson of Sullivan; his mother, Mary Tyree of Cuba, MO; one brother, Shayne Dawson of Cuba, MO; great-aunt and uncle, Ed and Penny Murray of Bourbon; aunts and uncles, Richard and Tina Murray of Lake Havasu, AZ, Keith and Cathy Murray of Fulton, MO, Donald Murray of Owensville, MO, Patricia Damewood of Cuba, MO, and Brenda Murray of Cuba, MO; numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and other relatives. 

Chris was preceded in death by his father, Harry Dawson, Sr.; and two brothers, Jeremy Dawson and Harry Dawson, Jr. 

Funeral services were conducted 2 p.m., Friday, January 4, 2019 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, with Pastor Rodney Osborne, Jr. as the officiant. Cremation followed.

Visitation was held from 1-2 p.m., Friday, at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, MO.
