Charles R. Jackson

Charles R. Jackson, of Bourbon, MO was born on Wednesday, August 24, 1921 in Sullivan, MO to Russell Claude Jackson and Katie Agnes Northcutt Jackson. He passed away  on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at the MO Veteran’s Home, St. James, MO at the age of 96 years, 10 months, and 3 days.

Charles served his country honorably in the United States Army during World War II. He married Mabel Ethel Smith on December 29, 1948 in Sullivan, MO and to this union one daughter was born. He retired from the General Motors Plant in St. Louis, MO. He was a member of the Temple Baptist Church, Sullivan, MO. He worked hard raising and harvesting vegetable gardens every summer. Charles will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife Mabel.

He is survived by his daughter Charlotte (David) Dunn of Bourbon, MO; granddaughters Megan (Scott) Davison of Albuquerque, NM, Emily (Kevin) Flynn of Lafayette, IN, and Sarah (Eric) Charles of Peoria, IL; great granddaughters Adalynn Dierking of Lafayette, IN, Audra Charles and Julia Charles of Peoria, IL; sister Nadine Davis of Wentzville, MO; nephews, cousins and friends.

A private family service will take place at a later date.

Arrangements under the care of Hutson Funeral Home, Cuba, MO.
