Catherine ‘Peggy’ Lorraine Gaskill

Catherine “Peggy” L. Gaskill, 92, of Sullivan, MO, passed away on July 9, 2017 at Meramec Nursing Center in Sullivan, MO.

Catherine Lorraine, known as Peggy, was born on March 10, 1925 to Louis G. and Katherine (Marron) Gaskill in St. Louis, MO. She grew up and attended school in Sullivan, graduating in 1943. Following graduation, she went to work for International Shoe Factory for many years. Catherine devoted her life to caring for her family. She took care of her parents and spoiled her nieces and nephews. Catherine was well known for her baking skills. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.

Catherine is survived by four nieces, Mary Copling of Leasburg, MO; Linda Kincaid of Sullivan, MO; Patty Strothcamp of Sullivan, MO; Kathy McCulloch of Sullivan, MO; five nephews, Mike Smith of Sullivan, MO; Robert Gaskill of Sullivan, MO; Donald Gaskill of Sullivan, MO; Robert Nolan of St. Louis, MO; Dennis Gaskill of Sullivan, MO; fourteen great nieces and nephews, numerous great-great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, Louis G. and Katherine (Marron) Gaskill; two sisters, Lucille Smith and Betty Nolan; two brothers, Warren Gaskill and Louis (Bud) Gaskill; one nephew, John Nolan.

Funeral services were conducted 11 a.m., Thursday, July 13, 2017 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Sullivan, MO.

Visitation was held from 9-10 a.m., Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, MO. Following visitation, there will be a prayer service.
