Carol J. Beucke, age 82, of Sullivan, Missouri, passed away Sunday, February 10, 2019 at Bethesda Southgate in St. Louis, surrounded by her family.

Carol Jean was born on October 24, 1936 in Morrison, Missouri, the daughter of Eugene Oscar and Flora Minna (Witthaus) Schaeffer.  She grew up in Morrison and graduated from Chamois High School, Class of 1954.  Carol was employed in various places in St. Louis; however, she worked for Carter Carburetor for 19 years and retired at its closing.

Carol was united in marriage to Gale Beucke on October 28, 1983, and they made their home in Sullivan. Gale preceded her in death in 2002. Carol became a Christian as a young lady and remained steadfast in her faith all of her life. She attended New Testament Baptist Church in Sullivan for the past several years.

Carol loved life and lived it to the fullest. She was fun-loving, feisty, and believed in looking her best. Carol enjoyed quilting, gardening and dancing. She was very involved in the Sullivan Senior Center, where she worked at the desk and delivered meals. Most of all, Carol loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She will be missed by her family, church family and many friends.

Carol is survived by her children, Susan Kincaid and husband, Glenn, of Mukwonago, WI, Charles Pollard of Chrystal River, FL, and Nancy Linn and husband, Tony, of St. Louis, MO; seven grandchildren, Jason Linn and wife, Karen, of Afton, MO, Jessica Warren and husband, Fred, of St. Louis, MO, Krista Smith and husband, Chris, of Lonedell, MO, Jared Linn and wife, Julie, of St. Louis, MO, Joshua Pollard, Jonathon Poole of Oklahoma, and Jessica Poole of Oklahoma; eight great-grandchildren, Evan Linn, Lucas Linn, Logan Linn, Charley Linn, Tristin Warren, Kaiden Smith, Cira Smith, and Dawson Smith; one brother, Erwin Schaeffer and wife, Sandra, of High Ridge, MO; companion, Jim Minx of Sullivan, MO; nieces and nephews, Chris Schaeffer and wife, Lisa, Karen Prater and husband, Dan, and Synthea Fisher and husband, Charlie; other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gale Beucke; her parents, Eugene and Flora Schaeffer; and one brother, Roy Schaeffer.

Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m., Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at New Testament Baptist Church in Sullivan, with Pastor Dave Wright as the officiant. Interment followed in Anaconda Cemetery in St. Clair, MO.

Visitation was held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan.

All arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home of Sullivan & Bourbon, MO.
