Calvin Studdard

Calvin Studdard, age 61, of Sullivan, MO, passed away Monday, November 25, 2019 at his home, surrounded by his family.

Calvin Monroe was born on February 1, 1958 in Cuba, MO, the son of Harold and Nellie Loraine (Gruver) Studdard. He was united in marriage to Sharon Harris on August 15, 1981 and they were blessed with two daughters, Clarisa and Crista. Calvin was known as a jack of all trades who could fix anything. He worked at various jobs, including a sawyer, mechanic, handyman, fence builder and lawncare man. Calvin was a Pea Ridge country boy who loved the outdoors and didn’t really belong in the modern world. He enjoyed deer, squirrel and mushroom hunting, catfishing, gardening and digging roots. He loved Sharon and was a dedicated dad and grandfather to his children and grandchildren. Calvin passed away just four days after his beloved mother, Nellie. 

Calvin is survived by his wife, Sharon Studdard; two children, Clarisa Hulsey and husband Aron of Sullivan, MO and Crista Parker and husband Ronald of Sullivan, MO; seven grandchildren: Christian, Scarlett, Crimson, Samuel, Sydney, Aribella and Asher; four brothers: Harold Studdard, Jr. and friend Diana of Sullivan, MO, Herman Studdard and wife Mary of Sullivan, MO, Roger Studdard and wife Vickie of Sullivan, MO and Randy Studdard and wife Kathy of Ste. Genevieve, MO; his beloved Chihuahua, Sophie; nieces & nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Nellie (Gruver) Studdard.

Graveside services were conducted 2 p.m., Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at Hill Cemetery, Bourbon, MO, officiated by Pastor Leroy Wiese. 

Visitation was held from 4-8 p.m., Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan.
