Billy G. Jennings, 73, of Bourbon, MO, passed away Monday, December 4, 2017 at his home.

Billy Gene was born on July 29, 1944 to Levi E. and Florence M. (Hodges) Jennings in Bonne Terre, MO. He grew up and attended school in Bonne Terre and went to work at a local restaurant; where he met the love of his life, Wilma Rhoades. They were married on August 8, 1963 in St. Louis, MO and celebrated 54 years of marriage together. Billy served his country during the Vietnam Era and was discharged in June 1969. He worked in St. Louis before moving his family to Sullivan in 1976 and then to Bourbon in 2001. He was employed by Trade Co in Sullivan, retiring from there in 2008 as a production supervisor. In his free time, Billy enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and working on old cars. He also liked to travel to Arkansas to visit family. Most of all, Billy loved his family and loved spending time with them.

Billy is survived by his wife, Wilma (Rhoades) Jennings of Bourbon; three children, William Jennings and wife Amy of Bourbon, MO; Dusty Rhoades of Bourbon, MO; and Lisa Klein and husband Jeff of Steelville, MO; five grandchildren, Angelia Eye and husband Cody of Bourbon, MO; Cassandra Lafferty- Jennings and husband Tim of Bourbon, MO; Ben Lyons of Steelville, MO; Steven Lyons of Bourbon, MO; and Payton Harley Rhoades of Bourbon, MO; six great-grandchildren, Jonathan Lyons, Austin Schirmer, Remington Lafferty-Jennings, Triston Eye, Addilyn Lafferty- Jennings and Skylynn Eye; sister, Leola “Odie” Kincaid of St. Charles, MO; special nephew, Brandon Rhoades of Bourbon, MO; nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Levi and Florence (Hodges) Jennings; one daughter, Rosemary Jennings; sisters, Patty Neely, Ruth Fann, Mable Jennings and Noni Jennings; two brothers, Delmer and Alvin Jennings; grandson, Robert W.E. Jennings.

Funeral services were conducted 11 a.m., Monday, December 11, 2017 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan with interment in Delhi Cemetery, Cuba, MO.

Visitation was held from 2-6 p.m., Sunday, at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan.

All arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan and Bourbon, MO.
