Betty L. Hilliard
Betty L. Hilliard, 72, of Sullivan, Missouri, passed away at her home, surrounded by her family, on Saturday, May 23, 2020.
Betty was born in Leasburg, MO, on January 22, 1948, to J.W. and Florence Osa Ann (Farrar) Hollingshead. Betty grew up on the family farm. She worked for Apollo of the Ozarks in Stanton, MO, and then later for the Sullivan School as a janitor and bus driver. Betty loved going to play Bingo, going to yard sales, especially with her Aunt Mary, and spending time with her family and friends.
Betty is survived by her husband of 52 years, Charles (Chuck) Hilliard; two daughters, Patty Neff of Bourbon, MO and Donna Hilliard of Sullivan, MO; five sisters: Margaret Anderson of AR, Lillian Shoemaker of MO, Katherine McGee (Ace) of MO, Elsie Headrick of MN, and Ruby Brew (Wayne) of CO; two brothers, Charles Hollingshead and David Hollingshead, both of MO; two sisters-in-law, Dena Hollingshead and Bonnie Hollingshead, both of MO; five grandchildren: Joshua Neff, Ashley Hilliard, and Katelyn Click, all of Sullivan, MO, Crystal Pyatt (Ryan) of Leasburg, MO, and Nathan Hilliard of Licking, MO; four great-grandchildren: Michael Sykes of Hazelwood, MO, Gracie Enloe of Villa Ridge, MO, Johnathan McCanna and Kaylynn Hilliard, both of Sullivan, MO; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by two children, Donald Neff and Gladys Hilliard; her parents, J.W. and Osa Hollingshead; three sisters: Mary Sampson, Lula Richardson and Agnes Almorie; four brothers: Floyd Hollingshead, Oscar Hollingshead, James (Beette) Hollingshead and Pearl Hollingshead; four sisters-in-law: Mary Ellen Hollingshead, Joyce Hollingshead, Vickie Hollingshead and Floy Hollingshead; five brothers-in-law: Shorty Sampson, Art Lee Dobkins, Edward Headrick, Kellis Richardson and Wilburn Anderson; and a very special Aunt and Uncle, William and Mary Harris.
Cremation arrangements have taken place.
