Betty Jean Thompson, age 55, of Sullivan, MO, passed away Friday, June 7, 2019 at her home. 

Betty Jean was born on April 5, 1964 in Branson, MO, the daughter of Daniel and Teresa (Heinrich) Thompson. She grew up in St. Charles and attended Monroe Elementary and Jefferson Middle School. She made her home in Pilot Knob, MO and was employed as the head cook at the senior center.  Betty moved to Sullivan in 2008 and remained here until her passing. For the past few years, Betty experienced a decline in health and was disabled. She enjoyed collecting rocks, camping, writing, games of all kinds and decorating. 

Betty is survived by her children, Larry Thompson of Sullivan, MO, Amanda Schneider of St. Charles, MO, Tara Schneider of Hallsville, MO, and Nicki Engemann of Pilot Knob, MO; ten grandchildren and one on the way; one brother, Oscar McCord; one sister, Dolly McCord of Springfield, MO; nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Teresa Thompson; one brother, Heinz Heinrich; and her favorite dog, Chloe.

Betty was cremated. There will be no services at this time. 

All arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home of Sullivan & Bourbon, MO.
