Bernadette C. Stark

Bernadette Christine Stark (nee LeBeau) was born June 26, 1942 in Florissant, MO.; the daughter of the late Arthur LeBeau and his wife Anna nee Mier. She passed away Monday, February 3, 2020 at the age of 77 years. 

Bernadette received her education at St. Ferdinand Catholic School in Florissant, MO. She was united in marriage to Jerald Stark on April 29, 1977 and the couple made their home in Union, MO. Bernadette was a homemaker who dedicated her life to her family. She was a doting mother to her eight children and a dear friend to many. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church Parish in Union, MO. and was devout to her Catholic Faith. Bernadette loved being a mother, and later in life, Grandma to her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Bernadette was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jerald Stark; one brother, Gerald LeBeau; and one great-grandson, Kaedin Newberry.

She is survived by two sons: Nathaniel Stark and wife Jamie of Sullivan, MO., and Kenny Stark of Evansville, IN; six daughters: Monica Stokes and husband Warren of Belvidere, IL., Alicia Newberry and husband Garry of Huntsville, AL., Melanie Portell and husband Jesse of Union, MO., Tina Metzger-Pelech and husband Nick of Union, MO., Tamberly Knight and husband Langdon of Washington, MO., and Priscilla McMullin and husband Kevin of Union, MO.; eighteen grandchildren: Starrine, Warren Jr., Dwight, Jimmy Lee, Melody, Donald, Autumn, Clayton, Cassandra, Kali, Krista, Dorian, Darrien, Waylon, Shelby, Joseph, Jacob, and James; thirty great-grandchildren; two sisters: Joann Swafford of Beaufort, MO., and Charmaine Nadeau of Wentzville, MO; two brothers: Arthur LeBeau of Villa Ridge, MO., and Ronnie LeBeau of Union, MO., and many other friends and family.

Visitation was Wednesday, February 5, 2020 from 4-8 p.m. at the Oltmann Funeral Home in Union, MO. A rosary was said at 3:45.

Funeral Mass was held Thursday, February 6, 2020 at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church in Union, MO. Burial to follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Union, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital. The Stark Family was served by the Oltmann Funeral Home in Union, MO.
