Barry Gene Archambo

Barry Gene Archambo, age 73, of Sullivan, MO, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2019 at Meramec Nursing Center in Sullivan.

Barry was born on June 27, 1946 at Bonne Terre, MO, the son of Delbert and Mildred Louise (Newland) Archambo. He grew up living in Park Hills, until age eleven, when he and his family moved to Sullivan. He was in the graduating class of 1964 at Sullivan High School. Through the years, Barry worked for Thrifty Supermarket, Kroger, Shop N Save, and Wal-Mart as a grocery clerk in produce. He bowled for over 20 years and was a Khoury League Coach. Barry was also an avid reader, as well as a sports fanatic. He will be lovingly remembered and missed by his family and friends.

Barry is survived by four siblings: Ruth Fincher of Sullivan, MO, Billy Ray Archambo and wife, Linda, of Springfield, MO, Patrick Archambo and wife, Lena, of Sullivan, MO, and Michael Archambo and wife, Brenda, of St. Clair, MO; nieces and nephews: Rhea Ann Summers, Jessica Feuerborn, Doug Archambo, Joshua Archambo, and Justin Archambo; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Delbert and Mildred (Newland) Archambo; and one brother, Delbert Daniel Archambo.

A Memorial Service was held at 7 p.m., Thursday, October 10, 2019 at the Grace United Methodist Church in Sullivan, with Pastor Donna Schofield-Dolle as the officiant.

Visitation was held from 6 p.m. – 7 p.m., Thursday, at Grace United Methodist Church.
