Barbara Sego

Barbara Sego, nee Jackson, of Leasburg, MO, was born on Monday, May 26, 1952, to Cecil Edward Jackson, SR and Betty Virginia Ballentine Jackson. She passed away on Friday, Jan. 15, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in Washington, Missouri at the age of 68 years, 7 months, and 20 days.

Barbara graduated from Bourbon High School in 1969. She accepted the Lord and attended Cross Roads Baptist Church during her early years. She later married Pete Sego and to this union one son was born. She worked different jobs through the years, but her most recent was Cracker Barrel in Sullivan. She was a cashier and greeted those entering the store and restaurant. Some of her hobbies included singing, reading, and spending time with friends. Her greatest love and joy, however, was her son Zak. She was a dedicated mother and devoted her time to him.

She was preceded in death by her parents Cecil and Betty Jackson and brother-in-law Rev. Jack Simons.

She is survived by her loving son, Joshua Zachariah “Zak” Sego of Leasburg, MO; brother Cecil (Kay) Jackson, JR of Ellisville, MO; sister Linda Helen Simons of New Haven, MO; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family chose cremation as her final disposition. There were no services held at this time.

All arrangements under the direction of Hutson Funeral Home, Cuba, MO.
