Barbara “Ann” Tolman Kins Chenault was welcomed home by her family and Heavenly Father on Saturday, February 24, 2018.

Ann was born on December 6, 1949 to Vaughn C. Tolman and Margaret M. Hartvigsen in Salem, UT. She grew up and attended school in Salem, UT and at a young age, began using her abilities as a skilled seamstress. She served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints. When Ann was young, she was diagnosed with a mental illness. She endured and overcame so much in her life. Even though she had this physical trial, her spirit shown through and positively impacted everyone she met. Anyone who got to know her, loved her. Ann spent time living in many places, including: Salem, UT, Southern Utah and in later years, Missouri. She always looked forward to returning to Utah. She loved cleaning, playing cards and had a lifelong interest in astrology. She would often remember a person’s zodiac sign, while forgetting their name. Most of all, Ann loved her family greatly and her greatest desire was to be a mother. Ann will be missed dearly by her family and friends.

Ann is survived by three children, Heather Kins of Rolla, MO; Lisa D. Kins of Rolla, MO; David L. Chenault (Tammy) of Rexburg, ID; three brothers, Thomas Tolman of Salem, UT; Don Tolman of Austrailia; Larry Tolman (Celeste) of St. George, UT; five grandchildren, Jackson, Fiona, Lincoln, Lucy and Elinor Chenault; four grand fur-babies, Canon, Daphney, Ian and Vinny; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Vaughn Cyril Tolman and Margaret Mina Hartvigsen and her children’s father, Lynn Chenault.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date in Salem, Utah.
