Ashley Ann Yates, 19, of Sullivan, MO, a bright and beautiful light in the world, was taken from us far too soon on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in Washington, MO.

Ashley Ann was born on October 13, 1998 in Florissant, MO to the late Laura Ann Uhle. She was a senior at Sullivan High School. Ashley was very close to the hearts of many of her teachers and was often chosen to welcome new students and introduce them around the high school campus. She looked forward to her future and had planned on attending East Central College in Union for general studies; however, she aspired to be a Radiology Technician so she could help others.

Ashley loved her Lord, Jesus Christ and she gave her life to Him. She loved attending Sullivan Christian Church and enjoyed time spent with her student ministry friends. She especially loved being able to participate in mission trips and help serve other communities, as well as her own.

Ashley was a very kind and gentle soul; she was always helpful and genuinely concerned for the needs of others. Almost always, she could be seen smiling and was joyful to be around. She had a very positive impact on the people around her. Ashley was also known to be sassy, tease others in a playful way and loved to be teased right back. She enjoyed hiking, hanging out at the river, going to movies with friends and family, reading and daily writing in her journal. Ashley also had four dogs that she adored, and they adored her (Abbie, Edward, Bella and Lil Bit).

Ashley was more of a second daughter to her Aunt Deb than she was a niece. She was her little buddy and they did just about everything together. Deb will miss her sweet face and constant companionship. Ashley will be missed so dearly by her loving family, her church family and many friends.

Ashley is survived by her beloved Aunt, Deborah Hart of Sullivan; two uncles, Joseph Uhle of Sebring, FL; Anthony Bove of Perry, MO; aunt, Jeannette Stickler and husband, Brad, of Florissant, MO; three cousins, Sean Uhle and wife, Lexi, of Fort Collins, CO; Corey Uhle and wife Jeni of Florissant, MO; and Lauren Volkerding and husband, Kris, of Marthasville, MO; grandparents, Al and Susan Uhle of Sebring, FL; dear friends, Jason and Katie McIntosh of Wildwood, MO; Tyson and Mel Glotzbecker of Phoenix, AZ.

Ashley was preceded in death by her mother, Laura Uhle; her grandmother, Rosemary Uhle and her uncle, John Uhle.

Funeral services were conducted 10 a.m., Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at the Sullivan Christian Church with Pastor John Blackmore, Pastor Mike Whittymore and Ryan Wehmeyer officiating.

Visitation was held from 4-8 p.m., Monday, November 6, 2017 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan.

Memorial contributions to the family are appreciated.
