Arthur E. Lamb, age 90, of Florissant, MO, passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at the Missouri Veteran’s Home in St. James, MO. 

Arthur Edward was born on August 11, 1928 in St. Louis, MO, the son of Clarence Joseph Sr. and Carrie (Whiemueller) Lamb. He grew up and attended school in St. Louis. As a young man, he entered into the United States Army and served his country until he was Honorably discharged. Arthur was united in marriage to Norma Jean Adams on January 7, 1956. For most of his working life, Art was a meat cutter. He was employed by Del Monte Market and then Schnuck’s, until his retirement in 1998. Art and Norma Jean moved to Sullivan in 2016. When Arthur was younger, he enjoyed roller dancing/skating, and as he got older, he enjoyed working on home projects with his wife. Arthur took great pride in his home. He loved spending time with Les, Joyce, and Edna. Art and Norma were mentors and invested greatly into their lives. Art will be lovingly remembered and missed by his family and friends. 

Arthur is survived by his wife, Norma Jean (Adams) Lamb of Florissant, MO; nieces, Joyce Montgomery and husband, Terry, of Sullivan, MO, and Edna Bradley and husband, Tom, of Kansas City, MO; nephew, Les Adams and wife, Gina, of Sullivan, MO; other nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; special family friend, Pam Stack and husband, Paul, of Sullivan, MO; and life-long friend, Mike Indelacato.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Joseph Lamb, Sr. and Carrie (Whiemueller) Lamb; parents-in-law, Sam and Louise Adams; and five siblings:  Helen Kalwat, Loretta Lamb, Rose Marie Schnight, Clarence “Curly” Lamb, Jr. and Ernest Lamb.

Memorial contributions, in Arthur’s memory, may be made to:  St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Graveside Services will be held 10 a.m., Monday, July 8, 2019 at I.O.O.F. Memorial Cemetery in Sullivan.
