Anthony B. Powers

Anthony B. Powers, age 86 of Sullivan, Missouri, fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church June 20, 2017. Born into Eternal Life Thursday morning, July 6, 2017.

Beloved husband to Elizabeth (nee Lubas), loving father of Victoria Powers, Barbara (Michael) Warren; dear grandfather of Justin (Julie) Warren and Jason Warren (Katie Tyree, Special Friend); dear great-grandfather of Kastin and Kannon Warren; dear brother of Martin and Joseph (Eileen) Powers and Mary Daab; uncle, great-uncle, great-great uncle and cousins.

Mr. Powers was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Catherine; siblings, Catherine (Marvin) Pettet, Francis Jr. (Mildred), Diane (Sam) Maginn, sister-in-law Sandra Powers.

He honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. Mr. Powers was employed from 1956 -1986 by the United States Postal Service. He was a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers Union # 343, St. Louis, American Legion Post # 347 in St. Clair and volunteered at St. Clare Catholic Services.

Visitation at 10 a.m. and Memorial Mass at 11 a.m. will be held Saturday, July 29, 2017 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 201 West Springfield, Sullivan, Missouri 63080.
