Alpha Zoe Taylor
Alpha Zoe (Guthrie) Taylor, formerly of Sullivan, departed to her heavenly home on January 17, 2019. She was born to Harry and Pearl Guthrie on March 20, 1925, Alpha had attained the age of 93.
On December 25,1941, Alpha was united in marriage to Gilbert T. Taylor. They were married for 62+ years. To this marriage four children were born, Gilbert T. (Ted) Taylor Jr., James (Jim), Vicki Politte, and Donald (Don) Taylor. After the death of her loving husband in 2004, Alpha made her home with her son Jim. At the time of her death, she was residing in Henderson, NV.
Alpha was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Sullivan, MO. Alpha was very active in her church with helping of delivering meals to the shut-ins. She was also, very helpful with the Apple Butter Blast.
Alpha worked for many years at Midwest Footwear, in Sullivan. She worked in the office and was always caught up with her work. This was something that always made her so proud. Upon, the closing of Midwest, Alpha went to work in Cuba until her retirement in 1988.
Alpha loved to read her romance books, do Seek and Find and watching her favorite game shows. She also liked to play card games of Big Bertha and Pinochle. She could sit for hours and pet her cat Sweetie.
Alpha was very proud of her children. She knew if she needed anything, all she had to do was let one of them know.
Alpha was preceded in death by both of her parents. She was also preceded in death by all of her siblings., her husband,Gilbert, one son,Ted and her only daughter Vicki.
Alpha is survived by two sons Jim and his wife Jan, of Henderson, NV. Don and his wife Marion, of DuBois, WY. Ted's wife Frances of Sullivan, Gary Politte, husband of Vicki, of Casper,WY.
Her grandchildren,Joe and wife Gina, of Sullivan, Ray and Tricia, of Henderson NV, Chrysta, Kelly, of Casper, WY, Allen and his wife Teresa, of Douglas, WY. Carmen and husband Troy, of Huston,TX,Tony and wife lveta, of Arvada,CO, and Elizabeth of Du Bois, WY. She is also,survived by 16 great-grandchildren, Kassidy, Catilin, Preston, Brennen, Mick, Leigh, Kaelin,Cody,Justin,Connor,Shailey, Kyle, Heidi, Pauline, Nick, and Lily, and one great-great grandchild Courtney.
The family of Alpha is planning a celebration of her life in July in Casper, WY. She will be sadly missed by her family and loving remembered by all who knew her.
It was Alpha's wishes to be cremated.
