Allen J. Schmitt
Allen J. Schmitt, 64 of Sullivan, passed away at his home on Friday, December 15, 2017.
Allen was born on May 5, 1953 in Rolla, MO to Virgil Charles and Evelyn Laura (Graddy) Schmitt. He attended grade school at Bourbon, St. Anthony and Holy Martyrs. He graduated from Sullivan High School. Allen was employed in the tire shop at the former Bobber Travel Center, M.F.A. Feed and most recently at Cracker Barrel. He enjoyed watching Nascar and St. Louis Cardinal Baseball. Allen was of the Catholic Faith. He will be missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his siblings; Charles Schmitt of Sullivan, Joyce Topolski of Rolla, Jane and Susan Schmitt of Sullivan, Marilyn Ware and husband Shannon of Sullivan; 8 nieces and nephews; Laura Ware and fiancé Chris Erxleben, Christopher and Megan Ware, Gary Whitney and wife Kim, Tiffany Bandowski and husband Richard, Michelle Bellmer and husband Bart, Melissa Whitford and husband Nathan, Charlie Scheer and wife Shannon; numerous great-nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Allen was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Evelyn (Graddy) Schmitt; and two sisters, Judy and Shirley Schmitt.
Graveside services was conducted 11:30 a.m., Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Holy Martyrs Cemetery, Sullivan, MO.
Visitation was held from 9-11 a.m., Thursday, at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan.
All arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan and Bourbon, MO.
