Alice Pondrom
Alice Lofting Pondrom, age 68, of Sullivan, MO, passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at her home, surrounded by her family.
Alice Lofting was born on May 26, 1950 in Bonne Terre, MO, to the late Lloyd Edward and Elnora Alverta Lofting. She grew up and graduated from St. Clair High School, Class of 1968. Alice was united in marriage to Gary Pondrom on September 8, 1973, in St. Clair, MO. They were blessed with three children, Rachel, Aaron, and Sarah, and together, they raised their family in Sullivan. Alice will be lovingly remembered and missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Pondrom of Sullivan; three children, Rachel Steinkiste (Scott Adams) of Sullivan, MO, Aaron Pondrom (Ann) of Dixon, MO, and Sarah Reid of Jefferson City, MO; one brother and four sisters, Michael Lofting (Pat) of Kingman, AZ, Ann Nathan of Sarasota, FL, Mary Poteat of Rolla, MO, Vickie Owenby of Florissant, MO, and Gretchen Vollmer (John) of Florissant, MO; five grandchildren, Emma Steinkiste, Hannah and Lauren Reid, and Isabella and Carter Pondrom; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd Edward and Elnora Alverta (Edwards) Lofting; and three infant grandchildren, Olivia Reid, Madeline Reid, and Isaac Pondrom.
Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m., Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Episcopal Church of St. John & St. James in Sullivan, MO. The Funeral Service will then be conducted at 11 a.m., with Rev. Dr. Carol Wesley and Chaplain John Essary officiating. Inurnment will follow the service in I.O.O.F. Columbarium in Sullivan. A Reception will take place at 7T Farms following the inurnment.
