Zelch Receives Life Sentence For Hillhouse Murder

A former Bourbon man pleaded guilty Tuesday to the shooting death of Edward Hillhouse in April 2016.

Deacon Zelch, 41, pleaded to second-degree murder and armed criminal action. He received life in prison for the murder charge and three years for armed criminal action. Crawford County Prosecuting Attorney Kent Howald said Wednesday the sentences will be served consecutively.
