The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office said a woman who slipped a note to a cashier informing them the man she was with had a gun helped authorities track him down.

According to Sheriff Steven Pelton, deputies were dispatched to the 9000 block of Excelsior Road in Gerald on Jan. 16. The reporting party said they had received a distressed phone call in the middle of the night from the suspect's phone.
