Willow Grace To Host Fundraiser For Young Girl Saturday

Willow Grace Boutique, 101 North Clark Street, will host a benefit on Saturday, July 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with 25 percent of their sales donated to the family of Averi Budde.

Averi Budde, 13, is the daughter of Ryan and Staci Budde and the grandaughter of JR and Vicki Isom, owners of Blue Springs Ranch.

Averi was born in 2007 with her twin Adison and has received five open heart surgeries and five cardiac caths. She was born with a congenital heart disease known as tetralogy of fallot and pulmonary atresia. Due to her heart, she also lost oxygen to the brain, causing white matter loss in the brain's two ventricles.

During 2009, Averi was diagnosed with a rare chromosome deletion. Baylor University was conducting a study on her and determined this was the first patient found with this deletion.

Averi also suffers from Peutz Jegher syndrome, which causes polyps to grow in her intestines rapidly. This has resulted in multiple surgeries and colonoscopies.

Also affecting Averi has been three eye surgeries and hypogammaglonulinemia, which gives her zero immune system to fight infections thus, she receives IVIG Immunoglobulin treatments monthly.

Averi was recently determined to need surgery on July 16 to put plates in both her legs to slow the progression of the curve in her legs and strengthen them.

“We will be holding this event Saturday, where we will donate 25 percent of our profits to the Budde family to ease some of their expenses and allow them to spend all the time they need with sweet Averi,” said Natalie Lambing, owner. “We will also be accepting donations to a few things from Averi’s favorite hobbies which include, gymnastics, work boots, and reading. We also have asked for cards with handwritten notes to show her how much she is loved and cared for.”
