Warrant Was Issued For A Washington Man For Escape From Custody

According to the Franklin County Sheriff's Office on Thursday morning, October 26, 2017 deputies from the Franklin County Sheriff's Office responded to an apartment off Julie Ann Ct outside Washington for a report of a domestic assault. Upon arrival deputies located the two subjects involved in the disturbance. Both the male and female parties involved had minor injuries consistent with an assault, but both gave statements inconsistent with the injuries deputies found. The male party was taken into custody for felony domestic assault. He was handcuffed behind his back and seated in a patrol car while the investigators awaited another deputy to arrive and transport him. When the transport deputy arrived the male suspect fled on foot while still handcuffed. The deputies gave chase and were able to apprehend the suspect again a short distance from the scene. He was transported to the Franklin County Detention Facility without further incident. An application for an arrest warrant was sent to the Franklin County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and a warrant was issued on the male suspect for the Escape from Custody, with a $10,000 cash only bond. The male suspect is identified as Aaron C. Napier, age 28 from Washington.

All parties are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
