Virtual Christmas Tree Lighting On Saturday, Nov. 28
Though 2020 has been a year of obstacles and cancelations, the Sullivan Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors is determined to not let the “Grinch Steal Christmas” this year. We will kick off Christmas on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, November 28 with a Virtual Tree Lighting Ceremony at 6:00 pm. Please join us on the Sullivan Area Chamber of Commerce Facebook page to celebrate lighting our city tree. There will be special guest speakers and some Christmas caroling to help everyone get in the holiday spirit.
The Christmas Festival will be contact-less and a lot different but will still be an enjoyable event for the whole family without fear of the weather interfering. The Christmas Festival will be held on Friday, December 4 and Saturday, December 5, 2020 from 5:00 pm till 9:00 pm each night. This year the festival will be held at the Sullivan Fairgrounds with drive-thru light displays by various business in our area. Journey to Bethlehem has also partnered up with the chamber to bring their display to the festival.
Santa will be available for “Car Side Only” photos with the children. If you wish to have your children take a photo, please stop where marked and wait inside your vehicle. Santa will stand outside of your vehicle for the photo but please remember to stay in your vehicle, as we do not want to chance Santa getting sick right before Christmas.
On Saturday night local food truck “Donkey Boyz” will be serving food at the end of the display. Be sure to stop by and grab dinner on your way out. Donkey Boyz will be donating 100% of their profits to the Sullivan Community Toy Drive.
This is a free event to the public but monetary donations to the Sullivan Community Toy Drive are encouraged.
