United Way’s ‘Jump On The Bus’ June 7

The Franklin County Area United Way will hold a ‘Jump on the Bus’ event Thursday, June 7 where they will make stops at Meramec Community Mission and Life House Youth Center.

The tour will begin at 8 a.m. at the United Way office at 301 West Front Street in Washington. OATS buses will be on hand to transport to Sullivan and back. 

The first stop will beat the Meramec Community Mission, which has undergone dramatic physical changes in the last several years. The Mission has restructured its services dramatically and works in cooperation with the US Food Bank to improve more lives than ever before.

On the next stop, will be Life House, the newest United Way agency. Life House Youth Center is meeting a need in Sullivan, providing a space for students to go when they are not in school. They receive help with their homework, a hot meal and tons of activities to keep them occupied, entertained, off the streets and out of trouble.
