Union Man Faces Stalking Charge

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office said a Union man violated a court order and entered his wife’s home, leading to a stalking charge.

Michael Ryan Gerner, 27, is charged with first-degree stalking and is bond was set at $7,500 bond.

Franklin County Sheriff Steve Pelton said the incident happened Jan. 29 in Villa Ridge.

The victim reported to deputies that Gerner came to her home and removed property. The victim has a court order against Gerner from entering her home and communicating with her.

Deputies made contact with Gerner the next day and he allegedly admitted to the act.
