Union Man Accused Of Rape

A Union man is in custody after he allegedly entered a bathroom at a home in Lonedell and raped a 35-year-old female victim Sept. 1.
Donald Pierce, Jr., 38, has been charged with first-degree rape and his bond set at $75,000.
According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, Pierce entered the bathroom as the victim was preparing to shower. The victim’s family had a home health care nurse, who Pierce was related to.
After the alleged incident, the victim left with a separate nurse to run errands and disclosed what had occurred.
