Two Requests, One Ordinance Before Council Tuesday

The Sullivan City Council will meet in open session on Tuesday, June 16, with two requests before them, payment of the monthly bills totaling $1,444,932.99 before them for approval, the Oath of Offices for elected officials for the June 2 election and one ordinance proposed for approval.

The council will first meet to approve the monthly bills that include: $46,840.88 to UMB Bank for payment 147 on the wastewater treatment plant; $27,988.02 to Swinger Sanitation for waste hauling services; $20,429.43 to Oak Grove Village for their share of Wal-Mart sales tax revenue and $410,296.32 to MAUA for electric supply in the month of May 2020.

Following approval, the council will adjourn and then open back up in open session for the Oath of Office by Aldermen following the June 2, municipal election.

Two requests will be before the council that includes: Laura Price, The Secret Kitchen, 10 West Main St. who is seeking a package liquor tasting permit, and Team Kaden Foundation Annual 5K-Den Run set for Saturday, September 12 at 8 a.m.

Reports from Planning and Zoning and Sullivan Regional Airport Boards were expected.

One ordinance was proposed before the council with Bill No. 3888, sponsored by Alderman Paul McCulloch, which would readopt the policy whereby municipal officials file personal financial disclosure requirements with the Missouri Ethics Commission.

The council did have closed session posted for real estate, litigation and personnel.
