Two More Drownings Reported In Missouri
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported two more drownings, continuing a deadly trend on the state’s rivers and lakes this summer.
According to the highway patrol, the first drowning came July 4 on the Jackson City Lake in Cape Girardeau County.
Kenneth R. Pair, 58, swam into the lake around 9:30 p.m. and went underneath the surface. He did not return.
Pair was pronounced dead at the scene.
Another drowning was reported July 6 on the Bull Shoals Lake.
Monte Hindbaugh, 62, was located floating in the lake by a passing vessel.
He was pronounced dead at 10:20 a.m.
