Two Injured Thursday Morning On I-44

Two people had injuries and one was flown to St. Louis following a crash on Interstate 44, one mile east of Cuba.

A 2018 Ford E350 driven by Gregory S. Martin, 59, Cuba, ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree around 5:45 a.m. 

Martin had serious injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital via helicopter.

Michael J. Keen, 50, Steelville, had moderate injuries and was taken for treatment to Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital. 

Martin was wearing a safety device.
