Two Injured In Single Vehicle Accident Saturday In Sullivan

Two Gray Summit people, including a child, received minor injuries in a single vehicle accident Saturday, June 15, at 11:31 a.m. on eastbound I-44 at the 225 mile marker.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol the accident occurred when Philip J. Worcester, 23, Sullivan, operating and eastbound 2007 Subaru Impreza, made an unsafe lane change and lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle began to skid and traveled off the right side of the roadway. The vehicle then struck an embankment and became airborne where it overturned several times.

Two passengers in the vehicle, Lauren K. Tank Hook, 21, and Riley Van Hook. 3. both received minor injuries and were transported to Missouri Baptist Hospital, Sullivan, by Missouri Baptist Ambulance.

The vehicle was a total loss.
