Two Fatally Injured In Head-On Accident Sunday

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said two Park Hills women were killed in a head-on collision on Highway 185 on Sunday.

The accident occurred in Washington County.

The highway patrol said Robert Schneider, 55, Park Hills, was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes of Highway 185 when he struck a 2003 Buick Rendezvous that was driven by Karen Medlin, 61, Park Hills around 3:15 p.m.

Medlin and Norma Montgomery, 90, were pronounced dead at the scene.

They were both wearing seat belts.

Schneider had moderate injuries.

He was taken to Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis by Washington County Ambulance. 

Schneider was not wearing a seat belt.

A 10-year-old male juvenile had minor injuries and was taken to Children’s Hospital in St. Louis.

Medlin’s vehicle reportedly caught fire and Sullivan firefighters were called to the scene to assist Potosi Fire.
