Sweet Repeats Opens In Downtown Sullivan

Jody Elliot and Sheryl Thornton have recently opened Sweet Repeats, a Resale furniture and home decor store at 12 West Main St. brining their former businesses Sunflower Cottage and Encore together after purchasing the furniture and home decor portion of The Exchange.

“I retired from Encore and retirement just didn’t work for me, laughed Elliot Thursday. “This is what I know and love working at so I talked with Michelle Yoest at The Exchange and she expressed an interest in just selling clothing and getting out of the home decor and furniture portion of the business so my business partner Sheryl Thornton and I decided to buy and open up Sweet Repeats.”

The business carries furniture, home decor, dishwater, linens, pictures and farmhouse items that are all purchased and resold by the business. They do not do nay consignments in the store.

“We have lots of couches, a lot of leather items and so much to offer in the business,” said Elliot. “Traffic in the business and customers has been such better than we anticipated from the start considering everything that has been going on with  COVID-19 ,” said Elliot. The majority of our traffic, probably 90 percent has all been local people and customers we both have worked with through the years.”

The business is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

They can be reached by calling 573-468-2100.
