Sullivan Teen Injured In Boat Collision On Meramec River

A Sullivan teen had moderate injuries Friday night as a result of a two-boat collision on the Meramec River.
The accident occurred near Miramiguoa Park around 6:30 p.m.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2017 Xpress operated by Charles Schatz, 67, Sullivan, struck the right side of a 2000 Grumman operated by Robert Johnson, 23, Sullivan.
Jordyn Jinks, 19, Sullivan, was an occupant in the Grumman.
Jinks was taken to Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital by private conveyance.
She was wearing a safety device.
The highway patrol said Johnson was wearing a safety device, but Schatz was not.
The Johnson boat had total damage, while the Xpress had minor damage.
