Sullivan Soccer Association Hoping For More Support From City
The president of the Sullivan Soccer Association addressed the city council on August 6 and asked for more support for the program from the city.
Eric Roberts said there are currently 390 children ages 5-14 and 75 adults participating in league activities this fall.
Roberts reported that some of their fields were damaged during the fair’s rain event and the group would like to see more permanent facilities established for the program such as permanent restrooms, designated parking areas, and an overall commitment to a more permanent facility.
The council felt that these items needed to be reviewed during the budget process and maybe a new study be conducted on the soccer facilities and future possibilities.
