Sullivan Police Investigating Break-Ins

The Sullivan Police Department is currently investigating two Christmas Eve/Day break-ins in which fencing was cut to access property.

The first call came in at 8:27 a.m. on Christmas, December 25, when the Fidelity Warehouse, 28 East Main Street, was accessed by a suspect or suspects by cutting through a chainlink fence and ransacking trucks and truck tool boxes. Multiple vehicles were broken into, according to police.

At press time, the items appropriated were not available and inventory was still be assessed.

Hours later at 10:30 p.m. a resident in the 700 block of Elbert St. reported to Sullivan Police that their property had been burglarized and someone cut the fence to access the property.

A number of items were taken from the home, according to police.

Sullivan Police encourage anyone with information to contact them regarding these two cases at 573-468-8001. All information will be kept confidential upon request.
