Sullivan Police Foot Pursuit Leads To Three Arrests

A Sullivan Police Officer chased a suspect across Interstate 44 and back from the South Service Road on Friday, May 28, at 3:15 p.m., eventually leading to the individual's arrest and two others.
Police conducted a traffic stop of a BMW at 3:15 p.m. near the Elmont overpass with a vehicle occupied by four individuals.
One of the individuals attempted to jump into the back of a pickup truck after exiting the car.
The suspect ran across both lanes of I-44 and was pursued on foot by a Sullivan police officer. He was later detained under the Elmont overpass.
