Sullivan Man Killed In Illinois Crash

A Sullivan man was killed early Sunday in Montgomery, Illinois when the vehicle he was traveling in overturned.
Alvin L. Hunter, 51, was one of three Sullivan residents involved in the accident. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Illinois State Police said the accident occurred around 5 a.m. on southbound Interstate 55, five miles south of Farmersville.
The driver was Daniel Behrends, 53, Sullivan. Behrends was driving a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado. The vehicle left the roadway for unknown reasons and rolled over.
Behrends had to be extricated from the vehicle and he was airlifted to a hospital for treatment.
Raven Smith, 33, Sullivan was in the front passenger seat. She was ejected and taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
