Sullivan Man Killed Early Thursday Morning

The Franklin County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a Sullivan man early Thursday morning.
Blaine Saebens, 34, was shot in the chest and pronounced dead at Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital.
According to Sheriff Steven Pelton, the incident occurred at 1608 East Springfield Road. Deputies responded initially to a call for a domestic disturbance. During a second call, deputies were notified a male had been shot.
Pelton said that a preliminary investigation indicates Saebens entered the home around 2 a.m. There were two women inside and at one point, a physical altercation started over a shotgun. As it was occurring, Pelton said one of the females shot Saebens with a handgun.
