Sullivan Man Injured After Striking Trash Truck
A Sullivan man received minor injuries after his truck struck the rear of a trash truck on Highway K at Spanish Claim Rd. Tuesday, May 11, at 10:10 a.m.
The accident occurred when a 2005 Mack trash truck, operated by Curtis J. Kellar, 26, Lonedell, was stopped in the roadway.
Keith Brandy, 87, Sullivan, operating a southbound 1999 Chevrolet 1500, swerved to avoid the truck and struck the left rear of the trash truck.
Brandt was wearing a seatbelt and received minor injuries. He was transported by Missouri Baptist Ambulance to Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital for treatment.
Kellar was uninjured in the accident.
The Brandt truck was a total loss while the Kellar trash truck sustained minor damages.
