Sullivan Man Fatally Injured New Year's Eve

A Sullivan man was fatally injured following a motor vehicle accident at 920 East Vine Street Sunday, Dec. 31 at 4:10 p.m.
According to Sullivan Police, the accident occurred as Cole Watson, 20, Sullivan, operating a eastbound 2002 Ford F-250, was traveling too fast for conditions when he lost control of the vehicle. The truck traveled off the right side of the roadway, became airborne and skidded on its side ejecting Watson from the vehicle.
Watson was transported to Missouri Baptist Hospital, Sullivan, by Missouri Baptist Ambulance where he was pronounced deceased from his injuries.
The vehicle was a total loss in the accident.
