Sullivan High School Marching Band Off To Tremendous Season

The Sullivan High School Screamin’ Eagles Marching Band is once again off to a tremendous start under the direction of Chuck Moore. 

The band has racked up more than 19 awards and recognitions thus far as they prepare for this weekend’s trip to the UCM Festival of Champions event in Warrensburg on Saturday followed by Francis Howell and Belleville East event on October 26.

The season kicked off for the eagles in Washington on October 5 where the band received: First in Class Parade; First in Color Guard in Parade; First in Preliminary Filed Competition; Outstanding Music; Outstanding Visual, Outstanding Percussion and Fourth Place Overall for the event.

This past Saturday, October 12, the Screamin’ Eagles thrilled the crowds at Potosi where the band captured Grand Champion in Field Competition and Overall Parade Champion; Preliminary Field Competition; Solo Award Alto Sax Emmy Schmidt; People’s Choice Award; Outstanding Music; Outstanding Visual; Outstanding Percussion; Outstanding Color Guard; First In Class; in the finals capturing Outstanding Music-Second place and Overall Parade and Field Competition Grand Champions.
