Sullivan Fire And Lowe’s Safety Day This Saturday

The Sullivan Fire Protection District and Lowe’s will team up this Saturday, September 9, for their annual Safety Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Lowe’s Parking Lot, 760 Eagles Court.

The event will bring residents a chance to see an active live fire sprinkler demonstration that has been very popular with guests attending through the past years.

The live fire training will show residents how fast a fire can spread in a home room setting and then show how a sprinkler system built within the home can extinguish the fire quickly preventing further damage to a home.

Also at this year's event special guests will include: Sparky The Fire Dog, Smokey The Bear, K-9 Search dogs from Warren County, Franklin County SWAT Team and other emergency services personnel.

The event will have games for children to play along with the fire safety house and technical rescue equipment on display.

The Sullivan Fire Protection District newest apparatus that will be dedicated on September 11, 2017, is also expected to be on display for taxpayers of the fire district to view and learn how critical it is for the protection of lives and property in the fire district.

Sullivan Fire Auxiliary along with the Sullivan VFW will be selling food and drinks for guests attending the event.
