Sullivan Community Toy Drive Kicks Off
The spirit of giving puts the magic in the Holiday Season, and the Sullivan Community Toy Drive hopes to help put smiles on the faces of many area children in need. The annual Toy Drive kicked off on November 5th and will run through December 10th, with over twenty-five area businesses serving as toy collection and monetary donation locations. Last year, 106 families totally 243 children received assistance through the Sullivan Community Toy Drive, and as registrations continue to come in, those number may be similar again this year.
To register for the Sullivan Community Toy Drive, participants sign up at the Meramec Community Mission during regular pantry hours, and once eligibility is confirmed through the Mission, the children’s wish lists are given out to community members who have requested to adopt a family or child. All monetary donations are used to purchase items for any children who are not adopted, to ensure everyone who qualifies receives presents.
