Stolen Vehicle Leads To An Arrest Of 29 Year Old Union Man

On 05/26/17 the Franklin County Sheriff's Office received information on the location of a vehicle, a 1988 Dodge Ram, that had been reported stolen on the previous date. On the arrival of deputies in the 600 block of Topsider Drive in Villa Ridge, Mo. Deputies observed a female and an adult male that fled on foot upon seeing the Deputy. The subjects had been observed to be in the process of painting the vehicle with black spray paint. The male subject fled in the direction of a supporting deputy and was taken into custody after a brief struggle. A loaded .22cal semiautomatic pistol was found near this subject as he had dropped it when the deputy challenged him. There was also suspected narcotics that was found with the stolen truck.

 

The female fled into the residence and returned with another adult male subject who claimed to be the property owners. All three subjects were taken into custody and are identified as a 29 year old male from Union, 27 year old female from Pacific, and a 27 year old male from Pacific. The male and female property owners were released pending application of warrants with the Prosecutors Office. The 29 year old male from Union is identified as Cody W. Davis and is charged with Tampering 1st, Unlawful use of a weapon, Resisting arrest by flight, Possession of a controlled substance, and is being held on a $25000 cash only bond.
