Shooting Victim's Death Was Self-Inflicted, Female Victim In Critical Condition
Update: Franklin County Sheriff Steve Pelton said the man who was found dead inside a vehicle Thursday morning was Garry Mansfield, 24, Pacific.
Authorities believe Mansfield suffered from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. The bullet exited and struck the female victim after traveling through the driver's side window.
The female victim remains in critical condition.
A 9mm handgun was recovered with a spent cartridge.

Franklin County authorities are investigating a deadly shooting that occurred early Thursday morning in the 1500 block of Meramec Avenue in Pacific.
Deputies were dispatched to find a 38-year-old female leaning against a vehicle, suffering from a gunshot wound. A 24-year-old male was found deceased inside a vehicle.
The female was air lifted for medical treatment.
Deputies say the male and female were known to each other and there is no evidence that leads investigators to believe a suspect is at-large.
