Sex Offender Arrested At City Park
A registered sex offender, reportedly homeless to Franklin County authorities, was arrested at "Sunny" Jim Bottomley Park June 28 after he was allegedly assisting in some some manner with a youth baseball team.
Sullivan Police responded to 405 North Park Street, "Sunny" Jim Bottomley Park at 7:51 p.m. and arrested the subject for allegedly violating his sex offender status. The state law does not allow for individuals on the sex offender registry to be around children in parks, youth sporting events or allowed to coach in any way.
