The Secret Kitchen Opens In Downtown Sullivan

Family ties run deep in one of Sullivan’s newest downtown businesses with the April 23, opening of The Secret Kitchen, 119 North Clark Street, in the former Willow Grace building.

Willow Grace moved to its new location on 101 North Clark Street.

The business is owned by Laurie Price, managed by daughter Cassie Price, with mother/grandmother Betty Hewitt providing her own spin inside.

“Ashley West of Willow Grace stated to us that they were moving from their location to a larger location down the street and that their space was going to become available. It was the perfect fit for our business,” said Cassie Price. “This has been a dream my mother has had from sometime in owning her own store.”

Cassie Price said her mother’s dream of her own shop included selling specialty food and home decor. In March 2019, the dream became reality as they found their perfect location.

The Secret Kitchen features a number of home decor items but also a number of food items from dips to spices, BBQ sauces, a number of specialty gift items, fishing lures by Justin from Oak Grove Custom Lures and a special antique room featuring items from Betty Hewitt that is entitled The Faded Rose.

“We sample specialty foods everyday and have quick, easy snacks, for your next party, to grab and go,” said Cassie Price. “Leave the stress at the big stores and let us help you shop, for a gift for you girl or guy.”

The Secret Kitchen is open Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. They can be reached by calling 573-205-1446.
