The Scholarship Foundation To Host Information Session About BJC Scholarship Opportunity In Crawford County

The Scholarship Foundation of St. Louis will host an informational session about the BJC Scholars Fund on March 13 from 4:00-8:00 pm at Recklein Memorial Library, 305 N. Smith Street, Cuba, Mo., 65453. This is a FREE event which will provide an opportunity for students and their families to learn more about the BJC Scholars Fund, clarify questions about eligibility, and receive assistance with starting an application.

The BJC Scholars Fund, generously funded by BJC HealthCare and administered by The Scholarship Foundation of St. Louis, is a scholarship opportunity for graduating high school seniors. These need-based, renewable $10,000 scholarships will be awarded to students residing in communities served by BJC hospitals, including those living in Crawford County.

To be eligible for the BJC scholarship, students must demonstrate financial need, academic potential, and good character. Students must be planning to pursue a degree (in any major) at a public college or university in their home state or at a public college or university out-of-state that is offering in-state tuition reciprocity. Interested students should submit the BJC Scholars Fund application online at myscholarshipcentral.org before April 16. For more information, visit www.sfstl.org or call (314) 725-7990.

The Scholarship Foundation of St. Louis, a nonprofit organization founded in 1920, is based upon the conviction that an educated citizenry is essential to a democracy. The Scholarship Foundation provides access to postsecondary education to members of our community who otherwise would not have the financial means to fulfill their educational goals. Annually, nearly 500 students are awarded approximately $4 million in direct financial support in the form of interest-free loans and grants from The Scholarship Foundation. For more information, visit www.sfstl.org.
