Salvaged Mobile Home Destroyed In Fire Saturday

A mobile home being salvaged by individuals was destroyed by fire Saturday, September 15, at 11:33 a.m. in the area of Highway EE and Highway 185 South.
According to Sullivan Fire Chief Eric Lewis crews were called to the scene for a mobile home fire but learned that the mobile home was vacant and was recently pulled onto property in the area to be salvaged.
“When we pulled onto the scene the mobile home was fully involved with fire,” said Lewis. “Crews arrived and were able to extinguish the fire.”
The fire collapsed into itself as fire crew brought the blaze under control and then removed metal from the mobile home to fully extinguish the fire.
